Maori Keyboard Vista Installation
Click on folder icon below to
download the Māori (Te Taura Whiri) Keyboard Definition zip file.
Double click the downloaded zip file to open it up.
 Double click the executable file icon which looks like this:
 You may get Security warnings:
Click Run

Click Allow

After a few seconds (could be 30 to 60 seconds) you will
see this box come up and it should read - installation complete. Click close

To add the keyboard go to the start icon
in the bottom left of your screen.
Once you have opened the menu by clicking on the start icon, select the
Control Panel option on the right hand side which looks like this.
Click Change keyboards or other input methods


Click Change keyboards

Click Add

Check show more

Scroll to and check New Zealand – Māori (Te Taura Whiri)
Click ok

Click the drop down and select New Zealand – Māori (Te Taura Whiri)
Click Apply

English (New Zealand) - New Zealand – Māori (Te Taura Whiri) should now be
the Default input language? Click ok

Open a word document
Press left bracket (next to the letter p} nothing should happen
until you press a vowel
[ + a = ā
[ + e = ē
[ + i = ī
[ + o = ō
[ + u = ū
Capitals work the same press left bracket and then shift or caps lock and
then the vowel.
