Te Papa Matariki Calendar 2004-05
Te Papa Store.

Produced to celebrate the Māori New Year, the Matariki calendar runs from June 2004 to May 2005. It pays to respect our ancestors, honours their knowledge, and is our koha back to them.

Unique to New Zealand, the calendar is based on traditional knowledge of the seasonal cycle. It takes a holistic look at our natural world and our place in it. Each month is illustrated with stunning images appropriate to the season and interpreted in both reo Māori and English.

Te Maramataka a te Waka Toi (2005-06)

This calendar showcases the excellence and distinctive nature of Māori arts practice throughout Aotearoa, and illustrates the wide range of activities and initiatives supported by Te Waka Toi – the Māori arts board of Creative New Zealand.
