Māori language award winners announced

The winners of Ngā Tohu Reo Māori 2015 were announced at Napier last night.

The award for Māori language leadership was presented to Mana Elizabeth Hunkin of Ngāti Kahungunu.

The highest community award was presented to Paulette Tamati-Elliffe and Komene Cassidy of Ngāi Tahu.

Of all nominated awards judges selected Nga Taonga a Nga Tama Toa Trust from Gisborne as the supreme entry.
